It's back to school time already!

If you're looking to look cute on your first day back, but don't want to sacrifice your sleeping time by waking up early to style your hair, you've come to the right place.

Going back to school is always an excuse to stunt a little; you have a fresh tan and you still have some summer glow left! All that's left to complete your comeback is a cute hairstyle.

Read for some back to school hairstyle inspiration!

The first day back to school might as well be called: 'first impression day'.

You want to look presentable and feel good; you'll be reuniting with friends you haven't seen all summer, meeting new teachers, and your classmates!

On the other hand, you don't want to spend hours working on it, either; back to school hairstyles should be quick and easy. An added bonus to your back to school hairstyle being styling your hair away from your face, so it can last all day without you having to worry about touching it up in between classes.

1. Tousled Bun

This is my personal go to - it's easy, stylish, and super easy to do! Waking up on the first day might be a bit tough so you'll need a quick and effortless hairstyle. All you need is pull your hair back in a low bun, leaving some loose strands around your face.

To add elegance to the look, using Hair Treats' Practitioner Flat Iron, create some waves in them.

2. Subtle Waves

Another personal favorite: waves that are so subtle, they look almost natural. The secret to achieving the subtle-waves look is leaving some sections of hair pin-straight, while some sections have a small wave, done by a flat iron. The best flat iron to create waves or any curl is definitely the Practitioner, as mentioned above, but if your hair is anything like mine and struggles to hold waves, seal in the look with a few sprays of Lakme's Ecolak Hairspray.

This look should take you no more than 10-15 minutes; perfect for an early school day!

3. Half-Up, Half-Down

Think of this year's MET Gala look worn by Kim Kardashian, but the casual version - super cute right? And it takes almost no time at all to put together! The half-up, half-down look is a classic go-to hairstyle and perfect for back to school. It's out of your face but yet, your locks are still worn down so you can have the best of both worlds! You could really have fun with this hairstyle, because it doesn't necessarily have to be pulled back into a ponytail - it can be a bun, or even two separate ponytails! But something that all these variations have in common with the half-up half-down look is the loose baby-hairs at your hairline.

With a small droplet of Lakme's Ultra Strong Gel, smooth the flyaways into the section of your hair that is pulled into the hair tie.

4. Beach Waves

Unlike 'subtle waves', 'beachy waves' are more pronounced waves. This hairstyle is recommended if you're comfortable with curling your hair, because a beginner may take 30 minutes, while if you're someone who frequently curls their hair, this hairstyle can be very quick. To achieve the beach waves look, I like to curl my hair using my Practitioner flat iron, and brush through my curls until they become as loose and wavy as I like.

If you want to get some beachy waves a lazier way, spray Lakme's Sea Mist Spray into your hair before you leave to school!

5. Sleek Ponytail

The sleek ponytail is chic, quick to do, and will make you look like a girl-boss on your first day. Nothing screams confidence like the sleek ponytail hairstyle does - and people will never guess that you spent only a total of 5 minutes on your hair. This hairstyle is great for so many occasions because it's so easy to dress it up or down, so no matter what your vibe is the first day, the sleek ponytail will match it.

To avoid a pulling-sensation, try Salon Club's Hair Slinky - they're equally as strong as your hair ties, but won't pull out any hair. They're great for a long day; you won't get a headache with your hair being help up by a slinky!

Slay your first day back at school, beauties!

You got this. We believe in you!
