Whether your life consists of running a business or studying for finals, I think we can all agree that it feels as if there isn’t enough time in a day.

I don’t know about you, regardless of having zero time in the morning, I refuse to sacrifice leaving the house without looking half decent.

When you leave the house looking good, you’ll feel better, more confident. Good hair act as a shield of reassurance that makes you feel ready to tackle anything.

With this in mind, I’ve compiled 7 of my favorite hairstyles that take less than 10 minutes but look like they took 30.

1. How to Create Braided Buns?

This hairstyle is simpler than a regular bun.

How to recreate the braided bun:

  • Tie your hair in a low ponytail
  • Braid the ponytail & tie bottom of braid
  • Form a bun with the braid
  • Wrap an elastic around the bun
  • Use strong bobby pins to pin in place
  • Spray some hair spray to ensure it stays in place

2. How to Achieve the Middle Parted Ponytail?

One of the reasons I dread having to tie my hair is because of the giant headache it ends up inducing by the end of the day.

Thankfully, I found a solution I’ll share with all of you.

When my hair isn’t cooperating and I have absolutely no time, i’ll often opt for this hairstyle. It’s super sleek and elegant and doesn’t end up giving me a headache because of its low placement.

Get the look:

  • Use a small toothed comb to split your hair down the middle
  • Tie your hair back in a low ponytail, around the base of your neck
  • Hair spray the top of your hair to eliminate any fly aways

3. The Easiest Half Up / Half Down Look

This hairstyle works well when your hair needs to be washed but of course… you don’t have time to spare.

No wonder its Ariana Grande's go to; its cute, quick and convenient.

How to nail the look?

  • Use a small tooth comb to pull half of your hair back
  • Tie the top portion of your hair with an elastic
  • Leave the bottom of your hair natural or if you must, quickly pass an iron through the few pesky pieces
  • Apply hairspray to the top of your head to minimize frizz and eliminate flyaways
  • Pass a hair oil through the bottom half of your hair to give it a silky finish

4. How to Wake Up With the Perfect Waves?

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0lfqDOoEC-/

Wash hair, dry hair, separate hair, straighten weird curly top pieces of hair, curl bottom half, run fingers through each curl, apply hair oil to ends…

Who has time for all that, I got tired just typing the process.

If you want pretty beach waves but curling your whole head will take too long,

Here’s what you could do:

  • Spray damp hair with a texturizing spray
  • Gather damp hair in three pieces
  • Braid each piece
  • Secure each braid loosely with an elastic
  • Catch some z’s
  • Undo braids in the morning
  • If you must, fix pesky pieces of hair with a wave wand. If you don't have an iron specifically for waves you could use a straightening or curling iron (medium barrel) on low heat.
  • Voila! Pretty beach waves

5. What is the Best Way to Accessorize Your Hair?

Nothing masks lazy hair days better than accessorizing. Using a lovely accessory is the perfect way to disguise your bad case of bedhead in the littlest amount of time possible.

You can get your hair from a mess to its best by:

  • Pinning pesky pieces away with bobby pins or clips
  • Pushing back your hair with a stylish headband
  • Wearing a hat (best for serious hair crisis)

6. How to do a Fishtail Braid (it’s simple, promise)

When in doubt, just make a braid and call it a day.

This braid is my favorite, it looks intricate but it’s really easy to replicate and always looks so pretty.

I scoured the internet for tutorials, and then stumbled upon byrdie.com where I found explained it best.

The directions found on byrdie.com are as follows:

  • Gather your hair into a side ponytail, and secure with a clear elastic.
  • Separate your pony into two even sections. Unlike a regular braid, a fishtail braid only involves two sections of hair.
  • Take a small piece of hair from the outermost edge of one of those two sections, bring it over its original section, and combine it with the opposite section of hair.
  • Repeat step three for the other section (the one you’ve just brought that small piece of hair to).
  • Remember to direct the small piece over its original section before combining it with the opposite one. This is the motion you’ll repeat all the way down.
  • Repeat steps three and four until you get to the end of your hair, always keeping the braid tight by firmly pulling the two sections outward and away from one another.
  • Once finished, place another elastic around the end of the braid to keep it together.
  • Cut away the original elastic band at the top of the braid to release the ponytail.

7. How to Style Your Hair When It Refuses to Cooperate- The Slick Back

https://www.instagram.com/p/BvAviQNFqze/

This is also a great go-to when your hair is getting a little too oily. It literally takes less than 5 minutes to do.

Here's all there is to it:

  • Dampen the top of your hair with water
  • Use a hair gel with a strong hold to slick the top of your hair back
  • Put enough gel that your hair holds back
  • Place bobby pins on the side of your hair near your ears if you feel the need

See how quick that was? Now you're ready to tackle your day & look great while doing it .
