1. Dry Shampoo

On those days where your hair isn't looking its freshest, spray a bit of dry shampoo to clear up the excess oil and give your roots more volume and texture.

We recommend the "TIGI Bed Head Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo Mini" since its compact packaging is ideal to store in a locker. To top it off, this dry shampoo removes any odor your hair might be carrying.

2. Hair gel

If your hair is too oily to use dry shampoo, consider using a hair gel  for a sleek appearance. By either gelling the sides or creating a sleek high ponytail you can still look fierce!

Utilizing the natural oils of your hair with the combination of a styling gel such as Lakme's "xtra strong hold" will create the perfect polished look.

3. Anti-frizz spray

Rusk's anti-frizz spray is humidity resistant, waterproof and lightweight to keep your hair under control for the rest of the day.

4. Hair brush

Some times your hair just won't stay in place. Keeping a small and lightweight brush at school is the perfect way to smooth over any flyaways before a presentation or interview. Whether you get caught in the wind outside or don't have time to brush your hair in the morning, a brush can smooth over any mess.

Salon Club's mini paddle brush is small enough to fit in a bag or locker and comes in gold, silver or black so you can still look stylish when brushing out your locks. I actually have this brush at home and it works wonders! the bristles untangle my hair perfectly and are soft enough to use with wet hair after a shower without causing damage.

5. Hair elastics, bobby pins & clips

When all else fails, use an elastic to tie your hair up. Whether you want to keep it simple with a ponytail or bun, pin back your bangs or get fancy with an intricate braid, keeping some extra elastics, bobby pins and clips in your locker will definitely prove to be useful. This I can guarantee!

This survival kit should cover most hair mishaps that can happen at school. If you have any other hair essentials, let us know!  Have a great semester!
